As Intelligence Analyst, Jasper brings over 10 years of experience in the fisheries sector. Before joining OceanMind, he was head of quality assurance and control in a prominent fishing company in the Philippines and Papua New Guinea, where he led third-party certification processes for standards such as Marine Stewardship Council (Fishery and Chain of Custody), Friends of the Sea, and the Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard, as well as oversaw food safety, quality, sustainability, and environmental standards. In 2020, Jasper joined OceanMind to analyse fisheries, and as such has participated in intelligence gathering and patrol support across a broad geographic area, from Palau, Ascension, and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands to Mozambique, Turks and Caicos, and Tristan da Cunha among others. Today he consistently brings an eagle eye to assessing vessel behaviour, satellite imagery, advance requests to enter port, and traceability to support partner private companies and government agencies alike.
